Cherrywood Fights Alzheimer’s Disease
Cherrywood Nursing & Living Center joins the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease. Along with her sister facility, Boulevard Health Center, and parent company, Pomeroy Living, Cherrywood has committed to raise $7,500.00 for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s taking place August 23, 2014 at Ford Field. This event for the Alzheimer’s Association is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research programs. Together Cherrywood’s staff works to battle the nation’s sixth leading cause of death. Company representatives Denise Hubbard, RN, and Deborah Naylor have the honor of serving as chair and co-chair for the walk.
Cherrywood Supports the 6th Annual Run Drugs Out of Town
Families against Narcotics (FAN) is holding their 6th annual,“Run Drugs Out of Town” on July 19, 2014 at Frasier High School. Cherrywood Nursing & Living is a proud Patron Sponsor for this event.
FAN’s mission is “to raise awareness of the prescription opiate drug abuse epidemic, to reduce the stigma and change the face of addiction, to educate about the dangers of prescription drug abuse and its potential to lead some to illegal narcotic use and to support those affected by drug abuse or addiction.”
Cherrywood Nursing & Living Center supports FAN in their community efforts to save lives. Cherrywood and her sister facility, Boulevard Health Center, have proudly been sponsors for FAN’s Fall Fest dinner fundraiser for the previous two years.
